School Resources

School Resource in the sheriff’s office encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, which include Crossing Guards, D.A.R.E. Program, School Safety and more. 


We will continue to foster a safe and thriving community through our ongoing efforts in Worcester County Schools.

Board of Education Liaison

Our School Resource Commander is dedicated to fostering effective communication and partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the Board of Education

Crossing Guards

Within the Sheriff’s Office School Resource Division, we have a dedicated unit of school crossing guards who play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students and pedestrians during school hours.

D.A.R.E. Program

The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program is a widely recognized substance abuse prevention program aimed at educating young people about the dangers of drug use and violence.

School Safety

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Division was established in 2013 and is supervised and staffed by specially trained Deputy Sheriffs.
