Our Field Services

Field Services in our sheriff's office encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, primarily focused on law enforcement activities outside of the jail and courthouse.

 These services include patrol, investigations, and specialized units like our Animal Control Unit that support the broader community and law enforcement efforts.

Animal Control Unit

The Worcester County Animal Control office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for anyone who would like to stop by and visit the animals, turn in a found stray dog or cat, or to reclaim a dog or cat picked up by Animal Control.

Fire Police

The Fire Police Division of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office plays a vital role in fostering seamless coordination between law enforcement and fire departments during emergencies.

Road Patrol

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol is comprised of Sworn Deputy Sheriffs who are responsible for patrolling 468 square miles of county and serve an estimated 51,000 year-round residents, and a population of several hundred thousand during the region’s season.

Specialty Units

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office has many Specialty Units ranging from a Crash Reconstruction Team to the K-9 Unit.
