Only 1-day after “The Love Leads Project” leashes were issued to our deputies, we were able to put one to good use.  

Deputy King responded to one of our busy highways for the report of a loose dog running near traffic.  He was able to secure this adorable Chocolate Lab mix, later identified as “Duce” using one of the new leashes.  Since that time, we’ve learned that “mischief” likes to find Duce every now and then.  We are happy to report that he’s been safely reunited with his guardian. 

A Big Thank You to the team at “The Love Leads Project” for their generous donation of leashes to our Patrol deputies.

Besides being the first deputy to use one of the leashes, Deputy King is also responsible for contacting “The Love Leads Project” team and securing leashes for our deputies.
