Worcester County Sheriff's Office

Proud to Protect, Ready to Serve

Free Active Shooter Training open to the public

Sheriff Matthew Crisafulli is pleased to announce that the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is now offering Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) training, free of charge, to the public.

The C.R.A.S.E. training is designed to increase your chances of surviving an active shooter event or other critical incident

The C.R.A.S.E. course is designed and built around the “Avoid, Deny, Defend” strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004. This course will provide strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.

The C.R.A.S.E. course utilizes a Power Point presentation along with an instructor led question and answer session and is geared toward churches, businesses, and public organizations.  If you would like to schedule a CRASE course or have additional questions please contact Chief Deputy Mark Titanski by email at mtitanski@co.worcester.md.us
