Worcester County Sheriff’s Office K9 Leo has received donation of body armor

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office K9 Leo has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of William Patrick”.

Please join us in welcoming Deputy Ronnie Townsend to our Worcester County Sheriff’s Office!  Prior to employment with the Sheriff's Office Deputy Townsend was a retired Sergeant from the Ocean City Police Department with 27+ years of law enforcement knowledge, training and experience.

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office wants to make you aware of a phone scam taking place in our area. Members of the community have been contacted by the following telephone number: 410-630-5151. The caller claims to be from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and informs the recipient that they have a warrant for their arrest that can be cleared by purchasing pre-paid gift cards/ payments.

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office K9 Leo will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from the non-profit organization “Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.” K9 Leo’s vest will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of William Patrick”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.

Please join us in welcoming Deputy Jayson Meekins to our Worcester County Sheriff’s Office!  Deputy Meekins comes to our office from the Long Hill Township Police Department and Beach Haven Police Department in New Jersey with 26+ years of combined law enforcement experience.  Upon coming to the Sheriff’s Office Deputy Meekins served in the capacity of Sergeant with the Long Hill Township Police Department, it is a pleasure to have his supervisor leadership and professional experience within our agency.
